Future Cinema Digital Workshop Monday 19th October September 30, 2009

For this workshop you are each required to make a short presentation on ‘Future Cinema’ - with an example of work that you think fits into this category, and some comments on why you chose it.

outline presentation format:

introduce yourself - say a few words about why you’re on the course and what you think you’d like to be doing in 5 years

introduce your chosen example - title and artist/director’s name

show the example - either online, YouTube or DVD/memory stick or whatever

tell us briefly why you chose it -

(this may include some or all of the following)

it illustrates the multimedia /multiscreen/multichannel approach to film-making

it demonstrates an immersive/synaesthetic/3d approach to film

it indicates the kind of software that may be used to create future cinema

I like it because: (cinematography/coding/editing/direction/script/music/graphics/titles etc…)

It was the first film I saw with my girlfriend/boyfriend
